Career reorientation coaching for professionals aged 40–60
Career reorientation at 40 or 50: a fresh start that truly fits you
You know that things cannot continue as they are—but you may not yet know where to go next. Together, we will find a realistic direction that suits your experience, strengths and life.
A personal first conversation to clarify your situation and whether working together makes sense.
Successful on paper. Yet something no longer feels right.
“Is this all there is, or could there still be something more for me?”
Sabine, 47, has a secure job, a good salary and colleagues who value her. Still, every Monday feels like a repetition of the one before. For the first time in years, she has room to ask what she wants from the next phase of her working life.
- Your work no longer feels meaningful.
- You want change, but not a reckless break.
- You have experience, yet no clear next direction.

Questions before taking the first step
Who is the coaching suitable for?
The coaching is aimed at people who are not prepared to accept the status quo in their professional lives indefinitely. It is for mid-career professionals and managers who are at a turning point in their careers – whether driven by a desire for greater purpose and renewed motivation, by the threat of stagnation, or by an imminent and necessary career change. To reorient your career, you generally need clarity about your personal strengths and interests, and what you can do with them.
Do I already need to know where I want to go?
No, quite the opposite. Often, it’s about: Knowing exactly what I no longer want – but where should the journey take me? This is precisely where coaching comes in: we begin with a thorough assessment of your current situation. We analyse the strengths you’ve developed over the years, your untapped natural inclinations and the opportunities that arise from them.
What happens during the initial consultation?
The no-obligation introductory chat (approx. 15–20 minutes) serves as a way for both of us to get to know each other:
- Your situation: You briefly describe where you currently stand and what’s causing you trouble.
- We clarify whether, and if so, with what approach, working together would be effective in your specific situation.
- Chemistry check: Coaching is a matter of trust. We assess whether the personal rapport and working style are a good fit for both of us.
The meeting also addresses organisational matters. You’ll leave the meeting with options for action that suit you and details of which coaching services you can utilise.
How long does the coaching take?
The programme structure is divided into three possible modules:
For urgent strategic decisions and focused decision-making questions, the compact half-day intensive session (approx. 3.5 to 4 hours on-site) is ideal.
Those seeking a clear, self-contained overall solution in a single session should opt for the intensive full-day strategy session (approx. 7 to 8 hours on-site), during which a complete reorientation is developed based on a personal assessment of your current situation.
For a comprehensive, step-by-step development process spanning several weeks, the format consists of a series of 3 to 5 half-day intensive sessions, which can be flexibly supplemented by telephone discussions (approx. 60–90 minutes) to provide practical support for your career reorientation.
Is the coaching confidential?
The coaching is aimed at people who are not prepared to accept the status quo in their professional lives indefinitely. It is for mid-career professionals and managers who are at a turning point in their careers – whether driven by a desire for greater purpose and renewed motivation, by the threat of stagnation, or by an imminent and necessary career change.
